Where are you located?

Our offices are located in Virginia outside Washington, D.C. Tunings are always done on location, whether it is a home, a school, a studio or stage. For rebuilding purposes, a piano will not necessarily be rebuilt at its location, but if it doesn’t require refinishing, it often can be.

Are your prices competitive?

Our prices are competitive, and it would be our pleasure for anyone to shop prices comparing the quantity and quality of the work we do – tuning, regulating, refurbishing or rebuilding -- with any competitor.

Do you sell pianos or rebuild someone else's piano?

We both sell pianos from our inventory and rebuild pianos for clients. Most pianos in our inventory are Steinways, while the makes and models of pianos that clients prefer to have rebuilt vary according to what they own.

Who moves the piano?

We use Keyboard Carriage to move all pianos long distances. A local move is done by a regional piano mover.

How long will it take before my piano is returned to me?

The average amount of time after the piano leaves a home, university or other establishment is about 4 months. Pianos are often returned within 3 months but can take 5 months but, on the rare occasion, more.

Should I have my piano rebuilt?

Many people rebuild their pianos simply to upgrade their lives, or because their instrument has sentimental value to them and they don’t want to see it deteriorate. Others rebuild their pianos as an investment. In either case the cost to rebuild is often far less than the return in the investment.
